Saturday June 9
12 Noon to 5:00PM Fete Day has been a Philadelphia tradition since
1938. Alley residents open their homes and welcome you in for a
glimpse inside the 18th and early 19th century rowhouses in the
Elfreth's Alley National Historic Landmark District. Join us for open house and
garden tours, a fife and drum corps, complimentary food and drinks,
arts and crafts demonstrations, and kids' games and activities.
Fridays and Saturdays June through August
6:00-7:00PM
Join Elfreth's AlleyAssociation Executive Director, Cory Kegerise, for a 45 minute, in-depth walkingtour exploring the impacts of changing tastes, lifestyles, and technologies on the rowhouses on Elfreth's Alley. The Alley's 32 show the evolution of middle-class housing from 1728-1836. The tour includes an in-depth exploration of House 126, built in 1755 by Jeremiah Elfreth. A light reception in the Museum Garden will follow.
